Abstract

It was found that prenatal stress changes the locomotion activity of posterity in open field test. Discovered are significant changes of the carboxypeptidase E and PMSF-inhibited carboxypeptidase activities in the hypotalamo-pituitary-adrenal-gonadal axis of prenatal stressed animals. The changing of enzyme activities of female rats was higher than that of males. Prenatal stress may induce changes in locomotion mediated by changes in the rate of proteolytic processing of neu-ropeptide precursors.

Key words

locomotory activities, prenatal stress, carboxypeptidase E, PMSF-inhibited carboxypeptidase.
